GriefWorks was founded in 1995 by Celia Ryan as a response to the need for specialized grief and loss counseling, information and education.

In the last decade there has been an explosion of new and exciting research in the death and
dying field, research that supports what we really experience when there is a significant
life-changing event in our lives.
